The family had recently flown in to be with their relatives in Punjab. They have been quarantined.
The National Institute of Communicable Diseases (NICD), New Delhi, is likely to send in reports on their throat swabs by Tuesday.
The family, if they test positive, would add to the tally of nine, including a couple who returned from Thailand and seven students back from an educational trip at NASA in the US.
All nine were discharged from hospital after treatment.
Meanwhile, l0-year-old Bal Kiran, who landed at Rajasansi International Airport from Birmingham, has been admitted to the civil hospital at Amritsar with symptoms of swine flu.
Dr S.P. Singh, who is the incharge of the medical team, stationed at Rajasansi airport, said, “The child came on a Turkmenistan flight and showed symptoms of swine flu. Taking no chances, we rushed her to the civil hospital.”
The Civil Surgeon said her throat swabs would be sent to the National Institute of Communicable Diseases.
